Over the last few years, I’ve been so lucky to be able to be there with you as you complete your high school years. Watching you grow and mature into a beautiful, strong, resilient young lady.

In a week she will begin her journey at East Carolina University. She plans to major in Speech and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Psychology. Afterwards, she hopes to attend a graduate program where she can become an Audiologist. This journey all began with Piper losing her hearing in the spring of 2021. She went through a year and a half of doctors and tests before she was able to get hearing aids. She also had to give up all-star cheer and traditional high school. Despite all this she was able to excel in her homeschool studies as well as the college classes she took at GTCC.

Despite all the craziness all this, I wouldn’t have traded this time with her for anything. It’s been one of our best years. One week until you step out on your own. Can’t wait to watch you soar.
